According to the correspondent of Hawzah News Agency, Prof. Piemontese, author of the book "Iran-Vatican Relations" in the webinar of the unveiling of this book, which was organized by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Vatican and the Office of inter-Religions dialogues for Islamic seminaries of Iran and in direct contact with Ayatollah Alireza Arafi Explaining the different parts of it, he said: "This book has searched for the relations between Iran and Rome among the historical manuscripts."

He added: "In the first part of this book, a collection of Persian manuscripts that are kept in Vatican libraries and other related libraries has been done."

Professor Piemontese stated: In this book, I have listed some Persian manuscripts that were unknown until its publication.

He stated: The study of the works of the first Italian Iranologists, especially in the Safavid period, who were also the first modern Iranian Iranologists in Europe, is another part of this book.

He said that the presentation of historical documents of relations between Rome (Vatican), Armenia, Georgia, India and Iran can also be seen in this book.

Professor Piemontese added: "The complete list of correspondence between the popes of Rome and the kings of Iran from the time of the patriarchs to the middle of the twentieth century is another part of the book" Relations between Iran and the Vatican ".

The author of the book "Relations between Iran and the Vatican" noted: This list has been compiled for historical education and the letters sent by the kings of Iran to the popes of the Vatican and vice versa have been published in this book.

He said that the historical correspondence between Iran and the Vatican reflects the history of friendly interactions between the two countries and said: "These correspondences show the relationship with cordiality in different periods of the history of Iran and the Vatican; No other Islamic country in history and in different centuries has had as much interaction, official correspondence, and friendly and cordial relations with the Vatican as Iran.
